Dear MailMonkey.net
Email User,
MailMonkey.net
has proven to be very popular, however our email service engine,
Everyone.net, is no longer offering the support and features
it once did as a free service. Over the past 10-12 months
service reliability has suffered and pop-up ads have become
down right out of control. MailMonkey.net was designed initially
as a free service and I don't want to have to force people
to pay for their email in order to eliminate crazy amounts
of pop-up ads and increase service reliability. It is because
of this that we are announcing the end of MailMonkey.net public
email service.
What
does this mean to you?
Well, unfortunately it means that you'll need to use another
email address. All accounts will be unavailable after
April 26, 2002. This means you won't be able to login
to your account to retrieve mail, send mail or view your address
book after this date. I recommend you set up an alternate
email address in advance (if you don't already have one) and
forward your email to that address prior to April 26. I will
not be making any recommendations as to which email provider
you should migrate to.
What
will become of MailMonkey.net?
For now, MailMonkey.net will continue to function as an email
service provider, but on a much smaller scale. Email service
will only be available to a private list of only a few people.
I'd love to offer this same service to all of you, but limited
system resources simply won't allow it.
In
Conclusion...
I know this is a major inconvenience to many of you and I
truly wish I had the resources to continue this service.
Thank
you to those of you who helped MailMonkey.net be as popular
as it was.
Many
Thanks,
The MailMonkey.net Team
